About Finance and Procurement Services 

Finance and Procurement Services assist the University to achieve its goals by providing quality leadership, information, and financial services. The Finance and Procurement Services team develops and maintains financial policies and procedures and internal control to facilitate the conduct of university business and help ensure compliance with taxation and other financial legislative requirements. 

About the Role 

We have an exciting opportunity within our Finance and Procurement team as the Revenue Analyst. As the successful incumbent, you will occupy a pivotal role in the organisation as you will be responsible for assisting the Planning and Performance division in the projection, administration & maintenance of the University’s Revenue systems. You will also provide high-quality assistance as directed, particularly in relation to Revenue, within the University’s annual budget and performance.

Some of the key responsibilities of the position are:

  • Providing high quality financial analysis and advice and support all aspects of financial management.
  • Monitoring financial results in comparison with the University approved budget/forecasts providing value added insights.
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Planning and Performance team.
  • Providing quality assistance in relation to the University’s budget. This includes assisting with the maintenance of the budget model and working with Colleges and Portfolios to ensure the data integrity.
  • Liaising and communicating clearly with Colleges, including informing them in advance of any changes to revenue allocations.
  • Providing high quality input and support in the delivery of end of month, quarterly and end of year processes.

About You 

As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a wider range of clients and stakeholders across the Organisation, have ability to be collegial and work in a cooperative team environment, and be able to show high-level analytical and problem-solving skills. You can prioritise efficiently and can problem-solve effectively in a multi-tasking environment.

Some of the key position capabilities of the role include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related area or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training.
  • Demonstrated understanding of finance systems and budget forecasting in large organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate management reports.
  • Experience in the development of financial and funding models.
